Dr. Chad C. Chesley was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and raised in Colorado. He graduated from Colorado College in 1990 with a B.S. in Biology and attended medical school at the St. Louis University School of Medicine. He then completed residencies in general surgery at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California, and in urology at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Dr.Chesley is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the Washington Medical Assoication, the American Medical Association, and the American Urological Association. His special interests include endourology, general urology, voiding dysfunction, and erectile dysfunction.

Dr. Chesley and his wife, Susan, have two children. Together they are involved in a number of outdoor activities, including hiking and soccer. Dr. Chesley is also an avid fly-fisherman and currently serves as vice president of the Lower Columbia Flyfishers.

A resident of the Longview area since 2003, he enjoys the small-town atmosphere, the moderate climate, and the close proximity to the mountains.


Dr. Patrick M. Lassen was born in Eugene, Oregon. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology from Southern Oregon State College in 1986. After earning his medical degree at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU), he completed a general surgery internship and a urology residency at Willford Hall USAF/Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

A Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association, he also serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Government Service Urologists. His special interests include laparoscopy, urologic cancers, pediatrics, vasectomy, vasectomy reversal, and female incontinence.

Dr. Lassen served in the U.S. Air Force as Chief of Urology Services at Landstuhl Regional Center in Landstuhl, Germany, from 1997-1999. He retired from the USAF Reserves in 2006 as a lieutenant colonel.

In 1999, Dr. Lassen returned to the Northwest and joined Longview Urology. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and boating and is active with the Boy Scouts. Dr. Lassen and his wife, Natalie, have two children.


PA- C Suzanne Box grew up in Pennsylvania and attended Philadelphia University, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She holds medical licenses in Washington and Oregon and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Suzanne was hired at Longview Urology in July 2007.

Suzanne previously worked for Associates in Urology in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, where she gained experience in urology, urologic oncology and urogynecology. In 2006, she moved to the West Coast and took a job in renal transplant medicine at Oregon Health Science University in Portland.

Suzanne is Longview Urology's first PA-C and also the first woman on staff to treat patients. Her husband is a firefighter in the Portland area.


ARNP Reta Vining earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, in 2003, and was board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2005.

She is a member of the Society of Urological Nursing Association, the National Nurse Practitioner Association, the Nursing Service Organization, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She has experience in incontinence treatment, pelvic floor rehab, and general urology.

Reta joined Longview Urology in January 2010. She enjoys hiking, dancing, scuba diving, cycling, traveling, playing the harp and accordion, singing, songwriting, medical missions, and volunteer work.
