Dr. Eric Hansen
Dr. Eric Hansen was raised in Seattle, Washington. He attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, on a Merit Scholarship and graduated with a degree in biology. He finished medical school at the University of Washington and also served in the U.S. Navy, completing his surgical internship at Naval Regional Medical Center in Oakland, California. He spent six months as the General Medical Officer for Destroyer Squadron 32.
After studying at the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Florida, he received his wings as a Naval Flight Surgeon and served aboard the USS John F. Kennedy in the Mediterranean Sea.
Dr. Hansen completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of California-Davis and then was stationed at Naval Hospital Okinawa Japan. He finished his active duty in 2002 and spent a year doing a fellowship in foot and ankle reconstruction at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He worked for Valley Orthopedic Associates in Renton, Washington, before joining Longview Orthopedic Associates in 2005.
Dr. Hansen is licensed in California and Washington, is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is married and has three children.
