LOA on the Move Hits Shamrock Run

Nine employees of Longview Orthopedic Associates participated in the 32nd Shamrock Run in Portland on Sunday, March 14th.  

Office manager Kathleen Lappe, medical assistants Catherine Hale and Debbie Stewart, staff coordinator Shawnna Riedweg, RN Glenda Gillihan, and billing staff Claudia Menzia and Cindy Wend completed the 3.5 mile walk. ARNP Beth Mraz and RN Mandy Clinch completed the 5K run. 

Operating under the name LOA on the Move, group members have set their sites on everything from walks around Lake Sacajewea to completion of the Portland Marathon.

“Our goal is for people in the office to encourage each other to be more active,” Mraz said. “It’s been very successful so far.”

Mraz started LOA on the Move in early 2010. The group currently has 25 members, including several from Pacific Surgical Center. Mraz hopes to eventually extend membership invitations to family and friends.
