Longview Urology Adds Nurse Practitioner

Longview Urology has announced the hiring of Adult Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) Reta Vining. She joins Patrick Lassen, MD; Chad Chesley, MD; and Suzanne Box, PA-C; at the Longview practice.

Barb Patterson, clinic manager at Longview Urology, said Vining’s hiring will provide staff and patients with a much-needed boost.

“We’ve been extremely busy during the past year,” Patterson said. “Having Reta on board will mean less wait-time for patient appointments and less stress on the other providers.”

Vining’s duties at Longview Urology will include patient care, diagnosis, and treatment. She has experience in general urology, pelvic floor rehab, and incontinence treatment.

Vining has eighteen years experience in urology. She was employed previously as an ARNP at Sunshine City Urology in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Prior to that, she worked for seventeen years as an office manager, RN, and ARNP at a urology practice in Dayton, Ohio. She has also spoken about urology-related issues at a number of community and continuing education conferences.

The opportunity to work with the staff at Longview Urology was one she could not pass up.

“The providers and staff are professional, considerate, and proactive,” she said.

Vining earned an MS degree in nursing (MSN) from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, in 2003 and was board certified as an ARNP by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2005.

She is a member of the Society of Urological Nursing Association, the National Nurse Practitioner Association, the Nursing Service Organization, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

She enjoys family time, church activities, hiking, dancing, scuba diving, cycling, traveling, playing the harp and accordion, singing, songwriting, medical missions, and volunteer work.
