Northwest Medical Continues Clark County Expansion
Less than a year after opening an office at University Plaza in Salmon Creek, Northwest Medical Analytic Laboratory (NMAL) has expanded its Clark County presence.
The Longview-based company recently opened a second Vancouver office at Spirit of Health Wellness Clinic & Learning Center at 14201 N.E. 20th, Suite 1102. NMAL provides a comprehensive range of clinical laboratory services to physicians and also offers nearly a dozen tests to walk-in clients without a physician’s referral.

NMAL General Manager Kim Gilmore
“We’re very committed to establishing a long-term presence in the Vancouver area,” said NMAL General Manager Kim Gilmore. “We’ve built some strong relationships with physicians in Clark County during the past year, and the Spirit of Health collaboration is a good example of the work we’ve been doing.”
Spirit of Health Wellness Clinic & Learning Center emphasizes a holistic approach to health. Staff members include Dr. Sheila Mitchell, who is board certified in family medicine; nurse practitioner Tricia Kenny; naturopath/chiropractor Dr. Willow Moore; and acupuncturist Susan McCarthy. Massage services will also be offered. Spirit of Health will rely on NMAL for virtually all its clinical lab work.
In addition to providing clinical lab services to physicians, NMAL will offer testing without a referral for thyroid, PSA, cholesterol, STD, lead toxicity, iron, rubella, mononucleosis, pregnancy, ProTime, and blood glucose.
“We think we have something special to offer clinicians and patients in Clark County, especially in terms of convenience and service,” Gilmore said. She touted NMAL’s accurate testing, rapid turnaround, and competitive pricing as key selling points.
“We also bill virtually every insurance carrier,” Gilmore said, “and we typically have patients in and out in ten minutes or less.”
Northwest Medical Analytic Laboratory is a division of Lower Columbia Pathologists, which opened in Longview in 1954 and employs approximately 60 people. LCP is one of the largest independent pathology groups in the Pacific Northwest, with eight full-time, board certified pathologists on staff. NMAL was formed in 2006 and has two offices in Longview, one at 625 9th Avenue at Pacific Surgical Institute and the other at 929 Fir Street.
The Spirit of Health office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (the office is closed from noon to 1:00 p.m.). For more information, call 360.571.0113 or visit NMAL online at www.nmalabs.com.
