Washington Plastic Surgery Opens at PSI
When Dr. Christopher Chung’s friends heard he was opening a plastic surgery practice in Longview, Washington, their immediate reaction was “Where is Longview?”
“I’ve practiced in Los Angeles and San Francisco,” Chung said. “But when my wife and I had children, our priorities changed. We wanted to raise our kids in a smaller community, and we think Longview is a good fit for our family.”

Washington Plastic Surgery is located at Pacific Surgical Institute (PSI) at 625 9th Avenue. Chung, who is Cowlitz County’s only board-certified plastic surgeon, began seeing patients on October 23.
The opportunities available at PSI played a significant role in his decision to relocate. “First, I have access to an excellent outpatient surgery facility (Pacific Surgical Center) right downstairs. Second, the laser treatments and skincare products offered by Flourish Skin & Laser are the perfect complement to the services I provide.”
Dr. Chung offers body contouring, breast enhancement, and facial rejuvenation procedures. “I basically do head-to-toe work,” he said. His services include brow lifts, rhinoplasty, short-scar facelifts, tummy tucks, liposuction, and breast augmentation, shaping, and reduction.
After completing his undergraduate work at the University of California at Davis, Dr. Chung earned a medical degree at the University of California at San Francisco. He later completed a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California at San Diego.
Dr. Chung is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Washington Society of Plastic Surgeons.
In 2004, Los Angeles County and the U.S. Congress acknowledged Dr. Chung’s ethical practice and community service outreach efforts with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition.
He is currently working on a book for plastic surgeons. Plastic Surgery Review for Board Certification is scheduled for release in late 2009 through the University of California at San Diego. Its main purpose is to better prepare plastic surgeons for the Board Certification Examinations.
