PSI Volunteers Services at Thunder Mountain Rodeo
Volunteers from Longview Orthopedic Associates (LOA) and Longview Physical & Sports Therapy (LPST) played an important role at the Cowlitz County Fair, providing medical services to ropers and riders at the Thunder Mountain Rodeo on July 31, August 1, and August 2.
George Palmer (PT), Beth Soltero (ATC), and Ed Earnest (ATC) from LPST were joined by Dr. Bill Turner and Dr. Eric Hansen from LOA. This marked the 18th consecutive year that Dr. Turner has provided assistance at the rodeo. Dr. Tim Jessick from Family Heath Center also volunteered his services.
“We had a tent with athletic training supplies set up behind the scenes,” Earnest said. “Our job was to treat any injuries the rodeo participants received.”
Cowlitz County Emergency Medical Services personnel were on hand, as well.
